Shipping Policy

Delivery is by Royal Mail 48 hours Tracked at a cost of £7.00 insured up to £100.00 

Orders over £70 will qualify for free delivery via Royal Mail 48 hour Tracked.

All orders will be processed once payment is confirmed.

Due to COVID-19 we will minimise our trips to the post office by shipping orders three times a week Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday.

Tracking will be sent as soon as item is posted. 

Gift Vouchers will be sent electronically, or by arrangement can be posted.

Please allow 7 working days for product to be delivered before raising any concerns.  Postage is slow at the moment due to COVID.

Royal Mail and other courier services are no longer taking a signature at delivery in order to reduce the risk of transmission at the point of delivery. They will take a Surname as proof of delivery. A delivery card or notice will be left for you to re-arrange any missed deliveries, it is your responsibility to organise re-delivery as we are unable to help with this.

Terms and Conditions

Bookings & Cancellation

1.1 Our services are only available by appointment.  You may book an appointment  by email, using our online booking service, in person at the salon or via telephone.

Due to covid yoga classes being restricted to 8 participants, we ask that you pre-book.  If you arrive to the class without pre-booking and the class is full you may not be able to participate.

1.2 When you book an appointment, you may receive a request (via email or phone call) for payment of a non-refundable booking fee/deposit.  This will be notified to you at the time of your booking.  Payment is to be made at least 72hours before your appointment.  Payment methods are either secure electronic payment link, bank transfer or cash, or gift voucher.  If payment is not received 72 hours before your appointment your booking will be cancelled, you will be notified by email and or phone that the booking has been cancelled due to non-payment.

1.3 If You know you are going to be late for an appointment, you should contact us to tell us.  If You arrive later than 10 minutes after an appointment time, we will try to provide the services you have booked, however due to time restraints we may offer a shorter service, charged at the price of the originally booked service or decide that we cannot completed the service.  The appointment will be treated as cancelled and you will be required to pay no show/late cancellation fee.

1.4 Appointments cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice will not incur any charge, and

any sum (including, but not limited to any booking fee/deposit) you paid in advance for the cancelled appointment will be refunded to you.

1.5 If you cancel with 48 hours of your appointment you will incur a 50% charge of the full service, this charge will be deducted from any non-refundable/deposit fee paid.
If you do not cancel your appointment and do not attend you will incur a 100% charge of the full service.  

1.6 If you do not pay any cancellation fees incurred you may be required to pay in advance (72 hours before appointment) for any future bookings.

1.7 If you continually cancel last minute or not show to your appointments you may be required to pay in advance (72 hours before appointment) any future bookings.

1.8 If, due to exceptional circumstances including, but not limited to, illness, accidents and bereavement, you cancel an appointment without giving at least 24 hours prior notice, we will consider the circumstances and at our discretion decide whether to waive any charge for late cancellation that we are entitled to make under sub-Clauses 2.5 and 2.7; 

1.9 We may cancel an appointment booked by you at any time before the time and date of that appointment in the following circumstances: 

The required personnel and/or required materials necessary for the provision of the Services are not available; or 

An event outside of our reasonable control continues for more than 1 hour; or 

We are required to close at short notice, i.e., weather conditions, lockdowns etc

If We cancel an appointment in such circumstances we will refund to you in full any booking fee/deposit or other advance payment that you have made to us for that appointment.

1.10 We will use all reasonable endeavours to start the services at the appointment time which you have booked, but the start may be delayed by overrun of a previous appointment or by other circumstances. If a delay to the start is at least 30 minutes, or, if at any time before or after you arrive for an appointment we notify you that there will be a delay of at least that time. You may cancel the appointment and we will refund to you in full any booking fee/deposit or other advance payment that you have made for that appointment

Fees and Payment 

2.1 You must pay for all services and/or products at the time of your appointment.

If you are paying by way of gift voucher, this must be produced at the time of the appointed, failure to provide the gift voucher will require payment by cash, card payment.

2.2 You may pay us for services and/or products (and for any booking fee/deposit or other advance payment on account of that payment) using any of the following methods: 

credit or debit card ; 

cash ; 

bank transfer ; or 

gift voucher ; 

2.3 We may alter our prices without prior notice, but if the price of any services increases between the time when you book an appointment and the date of the appointment, providing the date is within six months of the prices changed and notified to you, the price increase will not apply to your appointment for those services on that date.


2.4 All courses of treatments must be paid for in full at the time of booking and completed within 12 months and are non-refundable. Missed appointments may result in treatments deducted from your course.

2.5 All pricing subject to consultation. Our prices are subject to change without notice.

2.6 All prices of services and products are inclusive of VAT. 

Eligibility for Treatment 

3.1 We will not provide certain treatments to you unless you are aged 18 or over. We may require evidence of your age for that purpose.

3.2 We will not provide certain treatments to you if you are aged under 18 unless you have parental consent.  

3.3 If you are under the age of 18 you will require a parent or guardian to attend your appointment with you.

3.4 If You have a medical condition, certain treatments may be unsuitable for You.   We advise you to tell us of any medical condition or on-going medical treatment when you book an appointment.  If you do not tell us at that time we will be entitled not to provide a treatment (or part of it) and to treat the appointment (or the affected part of it) as cancelled by you without notice, in which case we may make a charge to you for the cancelled appointment (or part of it).  If you are uncertain as to whether your medical condition will affect your service please contact us and we will be happy to advise.

3.5 If you suffer from any allergy or a skin condition we may require you to take a patch test before we provide certain treatments.   

3.6 We advise you not to have any waxing and/or facial treatments immediately before or after heat treatments or exercise.

3.7 If you are pregnant please advise us at the time of booking, including how many weeks into pregnancy you are.  There will be some treatments that are either not recommended for you (either in the 1st trimester or during the whole of your pregnancy).  We are happy to discuss this with you.

3.8 If you are undergoing/or have recently had cancer treatments, please advise at time of booking we are happy to offer you treatments, however, there may be some restrictions, and we can discuss this with you. 

Patch Tests 

4.1 Any treatment that requires a patch test will not be carried out until a patch test has been completed.

4.2 The patch test must be completed by us, any patch test offered by another salon/business is not valid.

4.3 All patch tests need to be taken either 24 or 48 hours prior to your appointment. 

If You have a reaction to a patch test you must inform us immediately. 

4.4 Failure to agree to a patch test will result in the appointment automatically being cancelled. 

4.5 If you book a treatment that requires a patch test and have not arranged for you patch test with us then your appointment will be cancelled and you will be required to pay treatment booked.


Salon Rules 

5.1 The Wellbeing Centre, where The Retreat is based is a non-smocking, non-vaping area.

5.2 Please turnoff or mute your mobile phone. 

5.3 Children under the age of 18 are permitted for the sole purpose of attending their own appointment (accompanied by parent/guardian).

Refunds and Exchange Policy

We hope that you are happy with you purchase from us and that there is no need to refund or exchange any service or product.  However, if you are unhappy with a product or service you have received here is our policy:


6.1 Our products are sold after professional recommendation to minimise the incorrect purchase being made.

6.2 If you purchase a product and realise it is the wrong one or is incorrect for your skin then we can happily exchange it for another product if it is unopened and all seals are still intact or provide a refund if you have proof of purchase and within 14 days of the original sale.

6.3 We are unable to provide an exchange or refund for any item which has been used or opened, or is not in the exact condition in which it was purchased from us.

6.4 If the product has caused an allergy or appears faulty, following an investigation and further consultation, we will provide a refund for the item with proof of purchase and within 28 days of the original sale.

6.5 This does not affect your statutory rights.


6.6 We do not offer refunds for treatments or courses of treatments unless there is evidence of negligent practice on our behalf.  

6.7 If you purchase a treatment or course and you are not happy with the results received we will happily investigate the matter which may result in a credit being applied to your account and an alternative treatment recommended.  

6.8 We ask that any feedback regarding treatments is provided to us within 48 hours following the treatment.  

6.9 Any communication that commences after this date will limit the action we may be able to take.  

6.10 All clients should familiarise themselves with our pre and post treatment advice to ensure they receive the best results from their treatment.


6.11 Gift Vouchers are available for monetary value, specific treatments or products, are strictly non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

6.12 Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

6.13 Gift Vouchers purchased online, however, are categorised under The Consumer Protection (distance selling) Regulations 2000.

6.14 The Retreat Brecon cannot accept liability for lost gift cards.
